We are The Nazarenes
And this is our Last Serenade
We are the deeds that we do, the deeds that we have done
We are the soldiers of God, the soldiers of our nations
Our skin is of Bronze, our bones of Steel. A heart of glass.
We walk an anodized sea and swim the obsidian desert
To scale frozen plains, to run the darkest valleys
To fight so others do not
To delay the enemy so others can escape
To fight the battles visible and invisible
Thou unto there be no salvation or reward
That we shall have no descendant or live to see Kingdom
We shall be undeterred
So that the innocent present, and those yet to be born can
live
So help me God.
